* Pharmaceutical Metal Detector works according to the principle of electromagnetic induction. Each system has one or more inductor coils that interact with metal elements in the product. Single coil metal detectors use the same principles as standard metal detectors, just simplified. A pulsed current is applied to the coil, which induces a blue magnetic field. This magnetic field surrounds the area around the opening of the metal detector through which the product passes during inspection.
* In addition to the transmitter coil, Pharmaceutical Metal Detector also has a receiver coil that continuously analyzes the magnetic field in the detection area.
* When metal passes through the Pharmaceutical Metal Detector's magnetic field, the magnetic field induces electrical currents (called eddy currents) in the coin. Eddy currents induce their own smaller magnetic fields (shown in red), creating opposing currents that can be picked up by the receiving coil. Metal detectors are then able to detect this signal from the eddy currents and will sound an alarm if metal is present in the inspection area.
